A chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Abam, Arochukwu Local Government Area, has warned Senator Orji Uzor Kalu to stop his media attacks against Senator Mao Ohuabunwa using faceless, amorphous and non-existent groups.

Nkole was reacting to a purported call by “imaginary artisans, traders and market women from Arochukwu” for the arrest of Ohuabunwa for an alleged electoral violence during the February 23rd National Assembly poll.

The group according to Igbere TV, (an online platform with close ties with Kalu), also accused Ohuabunwa of underperformance during his stay at the senate describing him as “a complete disaster by all standards and in all ramifications”.

Coordination of the purported group, “one faceless Mazi Henry Chibuike”, had also on behalf of the “imaginary group “, rejected the verdict of the National and State Assembly Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Umuahia which invalidated the election of Kalu over non -compliance with the electoral act as well as the margin of lead principle.

Nkole who expressed displeasure over the uncomplimentary media remarks on Ohuabunwa, accused Kalu of sponsoring a media war against the PDP candidate as a way of registering his discomfort over the recent election tribunal judgement.

He wandered why the purported call for Ohuabunwa’s arrest is coming in less than one week after the tribunal judgement and six months after the poll.

Nkole said “if there is anyone to be arrested for electoral violence and robbery of the people’s mandate, it is Kalu “.

According to him “there is nothing like group of artisans and traders from Arochukwu,” contending that “such strage group is only existing in the imagination of the Ruga exponent and his media hirings”.

He said that “the publication in one of Kalu’s media platforms was but a demonstration of his discomfort over the tribunal’s verdict which punctured his self claimed but ilegitimate victory at the poll.”

His words : ” By resorting to despicable media war and campaign of calumny against our Most Distinguished Senator Mao Ohuabunwa , Kalu is only confirming his discomfort and jittery over the verdict of the tribunal, and eventual supplementary election.

” He knows he is holding a stolen mandate, hence his desperation to castigate and disparage the person of a vocal and respected Senator using his foot soldiers and political bootleakers ready for any hatchet job just for a pot of porridge.

” No amount of campaign of calumny by Orji Uzor Kalu against Ohuabunwa will make him (Kalu) escape humiliation at the supplementary poll. He knows he won’t escape disgrace and the wrath the people whose mandate he stole on a broad day light.

” If he likes let him use fictitious Aro names that have the same consonance sound with Mao’s surname, he cannot fool the people again because Abia North has long known his antics. Deceipt and propaganda have remained his trade mark but his days at the Senate are numbered.

” Contrary to hallucinations by Kalu and his hatchet job men, the entire Arochukwu LGA and indeed Abia North are jubilant over the resounding verdict by the tribunal. The people are happy with the tribunal for restoring their stolen mandate.

” No gain saying the fact that Ndigbo and Nigerians are happy and jubilant with Ohuabunwa’s victory which is adjudged victory for democracy.

” In case he doesn’t know , Abia North is anxiously praying that the appeal court will uphold the verdict of the tribunal so that the people will disgrace Kalu at the supplementary election.

” Kalu whose only achievement so far is Ruga endorsement knows too well that he is a temporary senator whose disastrous sojourn at the red chamber will soon come to an end. We quite understand his desperation but no amount of propaganda will save him “.

The PDP chieftain further said that Kalu had “turned Abia North into comic relief at the Senate”, positing that “kalu’s brief stay in the senate has rubbished the mileages accumulated by former Senators Ike Nwachukwu, Uche Chukwumerije and Mao Ohuabunwa”.

“It’s a pity that Abia North formerly represented by great voices now has a jester who does not even know the functions of a legislator”, adding that “it’s only Kalu and his likes that will ask a Chief Judge ‘to forward a law to the Senate'”.

Nkole further said “Kalu is no match to Ohuabunwa whose incontrovertible achievements at the Senate adorn every community across Abia North.”

“Kalu should spear his energy, Abia North already knows Senator Mao and his achievements speak for him. The primary health centre centres in almost every community in Abia North, waterbore holes, rural electricity projects, road projects. real empowerment programmes ,etc are eloquent testimony of his performance index.

The PDP chieftain said Ohuabunwa had within his short stay at the Senate out performed “Kalu’s disastrous and better -forgotten eight years as Abia governor where he irresponsibly ran the state like a personal estate to which he has a pending N7 billion case today at the court “.

“Kalu should hide his face in shame. A man who impoverished Abia and suddenly became stupendously wealthy lacks the moral impetus to parade as a statesman, let alone going to the hallowed red chamber “.

Nkole urged members of the public to ignore the former governor and “his recruits”, describing him as “a dawning political desperado whose inevitable waterloo is imminent.”
