It seem things are not going well for the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Kwara State

According to the report, the battle within the Kwara APC, is over who takes over the structure of the party.

There are allegations that Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq wants to take over the Leadership structure and control of the party.

The move is said to be facing resistance from the APC Chairman in the State, Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa.

Sources said that the move started immediately after the victory of Abdulrazaq as the Kwara State Governor, in the last general elections.

Interestingly, the Governor is yet to react to the allegations leveled against him, that he is sponsoring a plot to oust the State party Chairman.

Supporters of the Kwara APC Chairman, believe that certain groups within the party sponsored by the Governor, were being used to ensure the removal of Bolarinwa.

To make matters worse, there is an alleged superiority tussle between the Governor and a former Leader of the party in the State, Lai Mohammed, who is also the current Minister of Information and Culture.

Already, a former Factional Chairman of the APC in the State, Reverend Bunmi Olusona, who is said to be loyal to the Governor, has been suspended indefinitely.
Some Political Watchers in Kwara, are of the opinion that the Governor may be distracted from purposeful governance, by the distractions in the party.

It is not certain which group will have the upper hand in the crisis threatening to tear the party apart.
