Engineering Programmes In DELSU Are Accredited – VC

The Vice Chancellor of the Delta State University, Professor Victor Peretomode has debunked the rumors regarding Delta University Engineering Programmes not being accredited.

The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Victor Peretomode who made the disclosure yesterday while speaking to newsmen said the five Engineering Academic Programmes in Delta State University are accredited by Both NUC and the professional accrediting body of Engineering programmes in Nigeria , COREN.

“It has come to the attention of Delta State university Delsu Management of the fake rumor making the rounds that Delsu Engineering Programs are not accredited.

That is a fake news and should be disregarded and considered as handwork of evil workers of those who are envious of the stable academic calendar and academic excellence of the Delta State University DELSU.”

“The public should note the facts that the five Delta State University Engineering Academic Programmes are accredited by Both NUC and the professional accrediting body of Engineering programmes in Nigeria , COREN”

Speaking further , The Delsu VC Professor Peretomode listed the five accredited programmes as Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Petroleum Engineering .

Meanwhile Professor Peretomode has commended the Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa for pioneering and encouraging the University management to pursue the accreditation of the five engineering programmes, adding that without the Governor’s inputs, the management of the institution would have still been running up and down to get the engineering programmes accredited.
