The candidate of the All Progressive Grand Alliance APGA in Abia state Dr. Alexander Oti yesterday 9th march 2015 escaped assasination at Ikwuano axis of the State.
Sources Close to Alex Oti told PUO on phone that the attack on APGA campaign team was targetted at eliminating their candidate who has gotten massive support of the masses,it will be recalled that Alex Oti and his team were ambushed by Armed thugs on their way to a town hall meeting in Ikwuano.
PUO gathered that Alex Oti campaign team was briefed that Some youths has been armed to attack them on the way,but just after they were to take a decision another information came that the armed thugs had left the road,However just few minutes after the APGA campaign team passed Umudike,several armed thugs Blocked Oti and his team and immediately opened Fire on them,but following the speedy intervention of the security details attached to Alex Oti the attack was resisted by the security team and one of the Thugs was shot on his Leg.
He is currently receiving treatment under the watch of some security agents who has been assigned to investigate the attack
