Ex-Minister of State for Education and the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State, Chief Nyesom Wike, has described the forthcoming elections in the state as an opportunity for the people to put an end to Governor Rotimi Amaechi’s administration.
Wike described the Amaechi’s administration as a failed one.
He spoke during his campaign tour of wards in the Obio/Akpor Local Government Area. He said the failure in infrastructural development, rural development and basic amenities would be addressed by his administration if he wins the April 11 poll.
The governorship candidate assured the people of the state that he would stop the seizure of lands from them by the Amaechi administration.
“This election is about stopping the negative legacies of Amaechi and setting Rivers State on the path to development. The people have made it clear that they are supporting PDP because this is the only way to speedy development,” he said.
