Some sponsored thugs yesterday Friday 12th March 2015 desecrated the Assumpta cathedral catholic church owerri venue of the state Governorship Debate.
Promise Uzoma Okoro learnt from a reliable source who witnessed the attack by some youths allegedly sponsored by Imo state Governor Rochas Okorocha left several pregnant women and youths who came to listen to what the candidates for the Governorship election come April 11 2015 have to offer.
PUO gathered that the thugs invaded the church premises,beat up those who came in for the debate and went straight to the church alter where equipents provided by the church for use on the debate were vandalised. The PDP candidate in the state who spoke with journalist alongside his APGA counterpart blamed Governor Okorocha for using armed youths to disrupt the debate.
