After 6 solid years as the President of Nigeria,Dr.Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan decided to visit Aba,a city he and his party abandoned since 6years till today,if one ask me whats my take about Jonathan’s Visit to Aba today,i will simply reply that Jonathan came to desecrate the Enyimba city of Aba.
One of the greatest thing the APC has achieved since its formation was waking a sleeping,a dull,a docile and an i dont care President of Nigeria from his comfort sleeping Zone.
On the other hand i can adduce a verifiable reason towards the visit of Jonathan,you can recall as i just did that during the APC Presidential Rally in Aba,the APC campaign Director General Rotimi Amaechi Challenged Jonathan to come to aba and speak Igbo since he claimed he bears igbo name(Azikiwe) am convinced that the challenge by Amaechi made his campaign handlers to convince him of the need to Visit Aba,a city the governor of Abia state told him he will be stoned.
Today’s event was tagged Commissioning of Alaoji power plant in Aba, history remains the same as Jonathan goes down in history as the only Nigeria President that never campaigned in Aba,the most populated city in Abia State.
Let me paraphrase some of the quotes from Jonathan,according to him Abians should do him a favour by voting in the man T.A ORJI single handedly foisted in Abia PDP so that he can bring developement in the city,again he accepted that South East has been his strong hold and he cannot thank the people enough. Well i think the President should be taught a great lesson on Saturday that the masses in Aba are not happy with him,they people in Aba are not happy with the out-going Governor and for the President coming to Aba to praise the governor for foisting an unpopular candidate on Abia PDP means Jonathan hates Aba People.
There is no reasonable Abian that will agree to the giberrish by Mr.President that Abians should vote Ikpeazu,well just like am entitled to my Opinion,so Mr.President is also titled to his opinion and Choice,but we are sending a message to Mr. President that his comment today will reduce the votes he will get from Abia State.
I expected the President to apologise to the people of Aba for what his party and the man whom we elected to govern us turned the city to,but so shameful and laughable that the President was taken out from the main city of Aba,instead he was hosted outside the enyimba city.
