The Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa and other ethnic groups in Abia North Senatorial District of Abia State have been urged not to disappoint former governor of the state, Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu, with their votes tomorrow.
An Ibadan-based northerner, Mallam Abdul-Hameed Nabala, made the call yesterday during a chat with Daily Sun in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
According to him, all eligible voters in Abia North should vote for Kalu for effective and transformational representation in the National Assembly.
Nabala, who hails from Kogi State, said: “Though I have not met Chief Orji Uzor Kalu personally, I pick so much interest in him because of the things I have read about him in the press, his attitude and simplicity.
“When he was governor of Abia State, he was humble and he is still humble.
The way he does his things, I am sure that if he becomes the President of Nigeria, he will do better things for the country.
“Kalu will not represent Abia North alone in the Senate, he will also represent the whole nation because he is somebody who has the whole country in mind.
“After becoming a senator in 2019 I want him to go to the presidency.
We need him to become President of this country because he is a straightforward person. If he decides to contest for the president of Nigeria, I will volunteer to be his campaign coordinator in my home state, Kogi.”
Nabala also urged Nigerians to vote for President Goodluck Jonathan during the presidential election that will hold tomorrow.
“I want people to vote for Jonathan because he is a simple and straightforward person. I am supporting him mainly because of the agricultural system he brought, giving fer
