A social-Political cum Media Group known as Abia Progressive Front has condemned the last minute sacking of Government appointees and replacing them with new once,the group made this known via a statement released by its Secretary Vivian Umeuzuchukwu and made Available to Promise Uzoma Okoro’s Blog.
According to the group,it is questionable and deceitful that Governor T.A Orji will embark on Last minutes sacking/Appointments even when he has less than 20days to the expiration of his tenure,the group wondered why the out going governor could venture into such fruitless excercise of his powers at this deiing minutes.
The Group stated that it should not be a reality that Abia state governor elect Dr.Okezie Ikpeazu,may not be allowed to function independently without external influence from the out-going governor.
It will be recalled that Abia state out-going governor Chief T.A. Orji, had lastweek appointed of Prof. Nwachukwu Israel Kanu as the new Medical Director of the Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH), Aba.
