The candidate of the All Progressive Congress(APC) in the
just concluded governorship election in Abia state Dr.Anyim Chinenye Nyerere
yesterday said he suffered and wept sorrowfully on his bid to convince Abia
electorate that his party(APC) is not a regional nor tribal party,but a national
party that has come to aleviate the plights of the people of Abia state.
Dr.Nyerere stated this when he received some of the
executive members of Abia Progressive Front(APF) in his campaign office in
Aba,According to his words” our people are the cause of their problems,when i
came into this race,i didn’t come because i want power by all means,i came into
the race because i want to help alleviate the sufferings in Abia state,but our
people allowed sentiments and fanaticism to direct the party they will vote,and
that is why today,we are struggling to be recognized at the center” he said

Progressive Front,told them that he is assuring them of his maximum support
because he is a grass root politician,and since the aims of the group is
reaching the deepest village in Abia state,the group has nothing to worry

vision is to tell our people that APC has come to stay in Abia and Igbo land in

with his team to the remote villiages and sensitize our people on the need to
embrace the change that has come to Nigeria
