The plot by armed thugs loyal to the Leadership of Grass Root Developement Iniative(GDI) to bomb the Rivers State headquaters of the Independent National Electoral Commision has been uncovered.
According to a source who revealed to PUO REPORTS on condition of anonymity,the plot is coming few hours after the The three-man Rivers Election tribunal led by Justice Muazu Pindiga maintained it order to the Independent National Electoral Commison to allow the candidate of the All Progressive Congress(APC) Dr.Dakuku Peterside inspect the materails used during the April 11th Governorship election in the state.
Dakuku Peterside had approached the tribunal challenging the April 11
election victory of Wike on grounds of irregularities and massive
rigging.
The petitioner had, apart from Wike, joined the Independent National
Electoral Commission (INEC) and the PDP as co-defendants in the case.
Justice Pindiga had before the ruling maintained his ealier promise that the tribunal would be just and fair to all parties.
The Tribunal Chairman said that members would endeavor to dispose of
all cases within 180 days as stipulated by the provisions of the 1999
Constitutional, the 2010 Electoral Act, as amended, as well as the
Practice Directions.
PUO REPORTS Recalled that Rivers State Governor Barr.Nyesom Ezenwo had challenged the jurisdiction of the tribunal to hear the case in Abuja,Wike also prayed the tribunal to deny Peterside acces to all the materials used,the prayes of Wike was however rejected by the Election tribunal.
Hearing on the case was adjourned till July 22nd 2015.
