A Federal High court sitting in Portahrcourt presided over by Justice Lambo Akambi has nullified the election of the 22 Council Chairmen in Rivers State.
Delivering its judgement Justice Lambo Akambi frowned at the disobedience by the Rivers State Electoral Commision(RSIEC) by conducting the May 23rd election which saw the emergence of the 22 Council Chairmen.
The Court described the election as Null and void,and therefore must be set aside.
Rivers State governor is yet to announce caretaker committees.
