The Association of Local Government of Nigeria(ALGON) Rivers state chapter said its members will resume work today in their various Councils,following the order for their reinstatement by an Indus trail Court sitting in Yenagoa yesterday.
ALGON made this known through the Public Relation Officer of the Association and embattled Chairman of Ahoada West Local Government Area Mr.Samuel Enyibah in Porthacourt.
Recalled that Justice J.T Fishim of the National Industrial Court sitting in Yenagoa yesterday maintained its earlier order given on June 22nd 2015 barring anyone from tampering with the tenure of the 22 APC Chairmen,but Justice Lambo Akanbi of the Portharcourt Federal High court on Friday July 9th 2015 declared their election as null and void,which paved way for appointment of Caretaker commitee Chairmen by the Rivers State Governor Barr.Nyesom Wike.
