The Caretaker Committee Chairman of Obio-Akpor Local Government Area in Rivers State Hon. Bright Amaewhule has increased the ticket and market fees paid by Tricycle operators and market women in the Local Government,PUO REPORTS Learnt.
It was learnt yesterday that motorist,tricycle operators within the Local Government protested against the decision to increas their fees,on of the tricycle operators popularly called KEKE NAPEP who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity said that before the coming of the caretaker Chairman,they previous paid 50 per load,but the Chairmen directed that henceforth they must be paying 100 per load,and even why the took to the council to protest,they Chairmen simply told them to go and increase their own fee charge to passengers” He stated.
Some roads in the Council e.g Rumuagholu,Rumuigbo and Nkpolu roads are very bad that some of the KEKE OPERATORS visit mechanic daily,PUO Learnt
