The Rivers State Caucus in the National Assembly has petitioned the Department Of State Security( DSS) over the alleged invitation of the Resident Electoral Commissioner in the State, Mrs. Gesila Khan and other officials of the electoral body in the state over the refusal to Release materials used during the elections held in the state.
The Rivers State election petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja had ordered INEC to allow the APC inspect the materials used during the APRIL 11th governorship election,but that order was yet to be obeyed by officials of the electoral body.
Those who were named in the petition to the security agencies by the APC include the Rivers REC, Mrs Gesila Khan; the Administrative Secretary, Mr. Obijuru C. Royson; Head of Operations Department Bocco Ekong and Legal Officer Fumi Nancy Odihir Gaffar who, along with other INEC officials in Rivers, are colluding with the PDP to frustrate all attempts by the APC to access the vital documents,the petition was listened to by the Security agencies who moved in to query the Rivers Rec.
