The Abia State House Of Assembly has approved N30Billion for Governor Okezie Ikpeazu for the facilitation of some ongoing projects in the state.Puo Reports gathered from sources at the State Assembly that the Governor applied for the loan,which he said was to enable him complete ongoing Projects he embarked upon in the first week of his administration..
Recall that few days ago,Governor Ikpeazu acknowledged the receiver of N30Billion from the bail out funds granted by the Federal Government,but his Spokesman Mr.Ugochukwu Emezue told journalist in Umuahia that the government needed N6Billion to help it clear the backlog of debts left by the immediate past adminstration
Ikpeazu’s victory is being challenged by the candidate of the All Progressive Grand Allaince(APGA) Dr.Alex Oti at the Abia State election Tribunal sitting in Umuahia
