The INEC Office in Obingwa Local Government which was REPORTED to have been burnt down by some group of young men who invaded the Local Government Headquarters is raising tension in Abia State
According an eye witness who spoke with PUO REPORTS, one of the security men at the Obingwa Local Government identified an APGA stalwart from Abia State led the arsonists. The Arsonists were seen brandishing guns, axe, knives and other dangerous weapons as they forced their way into the local Government Headquarters.
Some security officers from the Nigerian Police Force, the Army and Civil Defence are already stationed at the Local Government Headquarters. Meanwhile, the road to Mkpoko, the local government host town has been barricaded by security men.
It is not yet clear of any sensitive INEC materails were destroyed in the inferno.
