Not much has been heard from the former governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi since he left office in may 2015.In the midst of deliberate ploy by Wike and his men to mudslide his high and unblemished pedigree, Gov. Amaechi has remained silent and focused.While Wike is busy with his cronies witch hunting and fabricating stories with his team to ensure that he is portrayed as a corrupt leader before President Buhari and the public.
Amaechi is busy supporting the President and indeed the federal government in the re-engineering of the Nigerian state for the good of all.
Government is a continuum. Therefore, Wike should focus on providing good governance and stop this mischief and mudslinging.
A govt whose policy trust is deceit and lying can rarely do much for her people.
I have closely follow events in the state and can conclusively say that the present rivers state govt as it is currently constituted is a team of corrupt and blood tasty vampires.
In July, Wike’s SA media, Opunabo Inko-Tariah, a man who lies without limit, released a press statement claiming that the sum of 712 million has been released to RSSDA to address the tuition and sundry bills of the state overseas scholarship students.
Our investigation shows it is a lie.
The truth is that the sum of 200million naira was approved by former Gov. Amaechi to them and mandate signed. That was the only money released to the agency.
We challenge Wike and his finance commissioner to publish evidence of a further release of 512 million naira to the RSSDA.
He also lied to rivers people that the contract for the patching of pothole has been awarded to Julius Berger and CCECC. I challenge him to tell rivers people what Asphalt Unity construction company and Bulletin are doing on our roads other than aiding him in connivance with Dr. Peter Odili and Sir. Mike Elechi to launder rivers common wealth.
It is a known fact that he is shortchanging the local government councils by releasing less than their actual allocation to them and till date most local govt councils are yet to receive salaries for the month of June under the excuse that personnel audit of staff is ongoing. just to delay for another federal allocation to come.
Of course, the NULGE is handicapped because their president is a PDP member.
The state waste management is busy with media hype rather than concentrate and deliver service to rivers people. The refuse deposal administrator, The state PDP Chairman inconjunction with his media aide, Jerry Needam aka “jerryboy” have totally abandoned their duties to the state. Almost all the refuse designated points still commands heaps of refuse. And some has already blocked the drainages thereby creating serious floods while others blocking the roads against free flow of traffic.
All the plots by Wike to publish concocted stories against former Gov. Amaechi is already in the public domain, so I advice him to take to wise counsel to save his govt from further ridicule. Because Nigerians know better now.
I hope he watched the event organised by friends and associates of former governor Amaechi to HONOUR him in Abuja on sunday 2nd August, live on Channels TV and see for himself the fact that Amaechi has become an intl icon.
It is therefore instructive to note that with or without an appointment in the current federal government under President Buhari, he remains a force to reckon with, because he is experienced, forthright, and incorruptible leader.
The vaccum created by Gov. Amaechi in rivers state will only require an experienced, incorruptible and God fearing leader like Dr. Dakuku Peterside and his team to fill.
We therefore advice Wike to get back to work and stop wasting rivers people’s scarce resources on frivolities pending his removing by the election tribunal.
