Plot By Dickson’s AIDE To Attack Chief Ikiogha ” Uncovered”

The desperation of the Bayelsa State Government under Gov. Seriake Dickson has reached a crescendo with a new plot to attack the person of Chief Diekivie Ikiogha and his properties by unscrupulous youths being sponsored by the Government through his Special Assistant on New Media, one Miepamo Saint, who is behind a campaign of calumny against the former Chief of Staff to Dickson, suspected to be nursing a governorship ambition on the platform of the All Progressive Congress, APC.

Reports made available to us shows that Dickson’s aide is behind a fictitious group known as Bayelsa Transparency and Accountability Forum (BTAF) which is behind spurious allegations of graft against Ikiogha. According to the source, the renewed attacks on the person of Ikiogha is one of the latest antics of the Dickson camp to witch hunt any suspected aspirant in the forthcoming election. In a statement signed by one faceless Comrade Goodluck Izonfade and circulated to the media by Dickson’s aide, Miepamo Saint, he said, “Bayelsa Farmers have even organized to protest against this brazen act of corruption and may be forced to attack the property of Chief Diekivie Ikiogha in Yenagoa as a means of self-help…..If Ikiogha refuses to cough out the money, his personal property in Bayelsa State will not be safe, as the farmers will stop at nothing to attack his personal property”.
From the above statement, it is obvious that the Dickson camp is behind the planned attack on Chief Ikiogha and his properties as there is no such group as Bayelsa Transparency and Accountability Forum, BTAF. The allegations of graft against Ikiogha remains only a hoax in the minds of those who are afraid of facing him in a real contest at the elections coupled with his defection to the APC with over 5000 supporters which has taken a toll on the political strength of the governor.

It is strange that Dickson and his handful allies are struggling to smear the image of any suspected governorship aspirant as in the case in point, even after appointing Ikiogha as his pioneer Chief of Staff. There is no gainsaying the fact that Dickson and his co-travelers are hiding under the guise of a non-existent umbrella group in a bid to malign and impugn on the characters of those who have a better political and administrative pedigree than himself to govern the state.

In the face of any attacks on the person of Chief Diekivie Ikiogha, his family and his properties, Gov. Dickson and his media aide, Miepamo Saint must be held responsible.  We therefore, call on the security agencies and the public to take note of this clandestine action by the government of Bayelsa State against the person of Chief DIEKIVIE BOVIE IKIOGHA.
