Following the Publication By PUO REPORTS over the plight of the Students under the Oversea scholarship of the Rivers State Government,The Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA) confirm to this MEDIA,the receipt of the sum of N512m from the Rivers State Government to enable the Agency pay the outstanding tuition and part of the upkeep of the final year students abroad.
Recall that last week,some of the students who reached PUO REPORTS lamented over the sheer negligence of their plight by the Rivers State Government,one of them told us that in one week time almost those in final might be facing deportation from their host countries/institutions since they were unable to pay their school fees.
According To a Mail sent by Kingsley Uranta, the Manager Media and Communications Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency
“The Rivers State State Government has also written a letter of commitment to all the schools where our students are currently studying to liquidate the outstanding fees in installments if it cannot pay all immediately.
With this development, final year students under the scholarship programm of the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency are sure of concluding their studies. Same goes for students in other grades.
