The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja will today decide the fate of Dr.Dakuku Adol Peterside,candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the April 11th Governor Poll in Rivers State.

The Pre-hearing stage of the Tribunal was put on hold last Friday folllowing the Preliminary objection filled by the counsels to the Rivers State Governor Barr.Nyesom Wike and the Independent National Electoral Commision(INEC) which prayed the court to dismiss Dakuku’s Petition for failing to pay 100 form fee and the failure of his party to notify INEC within the stipulated 21days in the Electoral Act.

Counsel to INEC,had relied his motion on Charles Harry Vs Wike and Tonye Princewill Vs Wike,which the same Tribunal ruled against APGA and Labour parties candidates over the failure of their party’s to notify INEC within the 21days stipulated in the Electoral Act.
