On his part,the Rivers State Governor Barr Nyesom Wike said despite the financial challenges placed before him by the immediate past administration wherein the former governor declared publicly that he would not be able to pay salaries, pensions and do projects, his administration has overcome that challenge, clearing the backlog of salaries, pensions and executing projects.
