The fate of the 22 Local Government Chairman who were sacked on June 9 2015 by Justice Lambo Akanbi of the Federal High Court Sitting in Portharcourt may be coming to a closer look following the assurance of the candidate of the APC in the April governorship election in Rivers State Dr.Dakuku Peterside that he is very confident,they will be returned to office
Peterside who spoke on Sunday in Portharcourt after a stakeholders meeting of the All Progressive Congress(APC)
Peterside who was reacting to questions by Gentlemen of the Press over the state of affairs in Rivers,Dakuku maintained that as a law abiding party(APC) ,the party has approach the court of Appeal to challenge the Judgement of the Federal High court which declared the May 23rd Local Government election conducted by the immediate past administration of ChibuikeAmaechi
It will be recalled that Justice Lambo Akanbi of the Federal High Court sitting in Portharcourt had declared the May 23rd Local Government elections conducted by the Amaechi led administartion as null and void.
The matter will be coming up at the Court of Appeal this Month
