Why APPEAL Court Adjourned Hearing on the Appeal by Sacked 22 APC Local Govt Chairmen

The Court of Appeal sitting in Portharcourt has this week adjourned twice for hearing on the Appeals filled by Hon.Augustine Ngo on behalf of the Sack 22 All Progressive Congress(APC) local Government Area Chairmen and 307 Councilors Appeal.

The Appeal Court which sat on Tuesday 10th and Wednesday 11th November called the two cases which was listed for hearing in the Court,but Counsel to the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) told the Presiding Judge Justice Ejembi Eko that he was only served  a day to the court sitting.

His argurment was that he needed time to prepare his defense,his prayers was however granted by Justice Ejembi Eko of the Court of Appeal sitting in Court 2,the Court was adjourned until December 1st 2015 for hearing.

The 22 APC local Government Chairmen and 307 Councilors filled their Appeal originally at the Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja,after Retired Justice Lambo Akanbi of the Federal High Court sitting in Portharcourt declared the May 23rd Election conducted by Former Rivers State Governor Chibuike Amaechi as Null and Void,which paved way for the Rivers State governor Nyesom Wike to appoint Caretaker Commitee Chairmen Same Day.

The case was to be heard 5th October,but due to the fact that processes of the Appeal were not cleared,the court fixed 10,11 and 13th November 2015.

Already some  Chairmen elected on the platform of the APC has started expressing fear when the heard the matter will no longer be coming up at the Court of Appeal in Abuja,but the Portarcourt division of the Court
