Students of the Akwa Ibom State University are currently on a peaceful protest against the closure of the school portal. The school Management made today the last day for payment of school fees despite adding additional N5000 penalty for late payment. The schoool portal was closed by 12am today which makes it impossible for students to register their courses. The students are complaining that their parents cannot afford the fees because they are being owed by the State Government.
Students who were unable to pay their first semester fees were asked to withdraw from studies.
