Reports reaching PUO REPORTS from the Opobo-Nkoro Local Governmnet Area in Rivers State say some angry supporters of afaction of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the Area has used Juju incantations to shut down the Local Government Council Quaters over the recent appointment by Governor Nyesom Wike.
It was learnt that the appointment of Hon Dagogo Eli Leg-Jack by Governor Nyesom Wike as the Caretaker Commtee Chairman of the Council did not go down well with some Top Leaders of the PDP in the area,who are accusing the Rivers State governor of not helping party members who never filled the membership form of the Grass Root Developement initaitive(GDI).
Sources from the area, confinded that the protest embarked upon by the angry members of the PDP has the blessing of the Lawmaker Representing the area in the state Assembly Hon.Adonyi Diri,who it was learnt has expressed reservations on the continues sidlining of names submitted his camp for appointment by Governor Nyesom Wike.
There are palpable fears already in the area following the closure of the Council,although security men were drafted in the area this morning to condone off the sitaution,it is not clear if some workers may still feel freee to work in the Council as a result of the display of diablosim by the angry PDP faction
