Rivers State governor Barr Nyesom Wike has been conferred as the grand Patron of Sports Writers of Nigeria by the National Executive Committee of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN.
The national President of SWAN, Saidu Abubakar who performed the investiture in portharcourt said Governor Wike stands out as the best governor in terms of the promotion of sports.
It will recalled that Rivers State has been the host of many sports competition especially football since the inauguration of governor Nyesom Wike
