The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja few minutes ago nullified the election of The Speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly and member representing Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area Rt. HON. Aniekan Uko.

The court ordered INEC to conduct a fresh election in the entire Local Government Area within 90days from today the Judgement was delivered.
Ukos election had been upheld Earlier by the Governorship and State House of Assembly election petition tribunal for Akwa Ibom State which sat in Abuja.
The court rulling on the Appeal by the APC candidate in the Area against the Earlier Judgement of the tribunal ruled that the election which brought the Speaker to power was fraud.

With the rulling another member will be elected as the Speaker of Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly
