The Court of Appeal sitting in Abuja few minutes ago upheld the Earlier Judgement of the Akwa-Ibom State Governorship election petition tribunal which nullified elections in the 18 out of the 32 Local Government Areas in the state.

The Appeal court ruled that the lower tribunal’s ruling was in tandem with the evidences provided by the All Progressives Congress Governorship candidate in the state Umana Okon Umana that the April 11 Governorship election in the state was fraudulent.

The court ordered INEC to conduct a fresh election in the 18 Local Government areas within 90days from today the Judgement was delivered.
