Okezie Ikpeazu Bans Street Protest in Abia

Okezie Ikpeazu 

In a move to prevent the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Abia State from holding its planned one week Procession over the outcome of the Appeal Court verdict, Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has banned all form of street protest in the State.

The ban is coming barely 24hrs after the All Progressives Grand Alliance in Abia State made it known of their intention to hold a one week jubilation Procession in major streets of Abia.

Recall that after the Appeal Court Judgement which ordered Okezie Ikpeazu to vacate office for Alex Otti, the Leadership of the PDP from Ngwa extraction Blocked Aba with massive protests.

The government of Okezie Ikpeazu did not condemn the action of the protesters who destroyed and damaged properties belonging to non Ngwa Resident in Aba.

The ban is seen as a move by the Abia State government to prevent the Abia APGA from holding its planned Procession.
