Facts have emerged that Contrary to what the World were made to understand over the suspension of a Former General Superintendent of Assemblies of God Church Nigeria Rev Dr Paul Emeka by the General Council of Assemblies of God Church Nigeria by Propaganda machineries of his Loyalists, Emeka’s Suspension was in order.
Investigation carried out by PUO REPORTS has shown that the suspension melted out to the Embatteled former General Superintendent of the church was done in accordance with the Constitution of the Church.
On 6th March 2014, Rev Dr Paul Emeka was Suspended From Assemblies of God Church Nigeria on account of flagrant disobedience to the Constitution of the Church when he dragged the body of Christ to the Law court, a move which is against the Stipulated laws of the Church.
Our investigation revealed that Contrary to the falsehood which has been circulated in the internet that Paul Emeka was Suspended over allegations of embezzling the church funds without being given fair hearing, the General Council of Assemblies of God Church Nigeria suspended Emeka for working in disobedience to the Constitution of the Church by taken the Church to an Enugu High Court to seek for An order of Interim Injuction stopping the Executive Committee meeting even when Over 11 Members of the Commitee had passed a vote to host the meeting.
In the Constitution of Assemblies of God, it is stipulated that for An Executive committee meeting to hold, The General Superintendent of the church May call for the meeting and 30% Members of the Committee can also call for such meeting when the General Superintendent fails, it was on this note that the Executive Committee meeting was called after over 11 members had formed Quorum.
Further investigation by PUO REPORTS revealed that the Embatteled former General Superintendent was duly invited but he refused to honour due to his alleged tyranny style of Leadership within the three Years he held sway to the Leadership of the Church.
Suspension in Assemblies of God Church Nigeria does not mean Condemnation but a disciplinary action taken against erring members of the Church which Emeka had suspended not fewer than 200 Members of the Church since he began his pastoral work in the Church.
Assemblies of God Church Nigeria is not like other denominations were one man can claim to be a General Overseer of the Church, in Assemblies of God Church Nigeria power resides with the People.
Paul Emeka’s issue was a clear message that those who elected were no longer comfortable with his tyrannic style of Leadership.
