It is no longer news that the elections of Governors Nyesom Wike,Udom Emmanuel has been validated by the Supreme Court,after the Cases instituted against them by the governorship candidates of the All Progressive Party(APC) were dismissed.
Buhari a major Benificiary of the risk taken by a Former governor of Rivers State who was merely rewarded with a Ministerial Position Mr Chibuike Amaechi,has not shown any commitment to the plights of the members of the All Progressive Congress(APC) in the South South Region.
In Bayelsa for example,in 2012,Federal institutions like Police,Army,EFCC,DSS and the Judiciary were used to stop Chief Timipre Sylva from recontesting the Byaelsa Poll by the PDP Federal government led by Dr Goodluck Jonathan.
In Rivers State,Chibuike Amaechi and four other Northern governors defected from the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) to the All Progressive Congress(APC),all the former governors who left PDP for APC won their various states for the Party,but in Rivers State,Federal institutions were mobilized for the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) and now governor of Rivers State Barr Nyesom Wike to defeat the APC at all cost.
The pains Amaechi passed through to ensure the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari was to heavy for the President to turn their back on the Party in Rivers State.
The case of Akwa-Ibom state was not different to that of Rivers State because Federal institutions were over used during the March and April general elections in the State.
The expectations from these members and Supporters of the party in these states were that a re-run elections could be ordered through the Court,but that never happened as President Muhammadu Buhari has shown no interest to the plight of his party members in the South South States.
Could it be as a result that no much Votes were recorded for him in the Zone during the 2015 general elections?
But has the President forgotten that these Zones were defeated not because they were not on ground,but because Federal Institutions were used against Them.
What is the fate of his party members in the Zone?
