A former Governor of Akwa-Ibom State and Now Lawmaker Representing Akwa-Ibom North West Senatorial District in the National Assembly Senator Godswill Akpabio has revealed that the All Progressives Congress in the state cannot boast of a single woman as their Member.
Akpabio made this known at yesterday at a Thanksgiving Rally organised by the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District in honour of Governor Udom Emmanuel and Senator Godswill Akpabio over the Judgement of Justice Nweze which upheld the April 11 Governorship election in Akwa Ibom State.
Akpabio said that in an attempt by the All Progressives Congress in Akwa-Ibom State to claim they are on ground, the party go to the extent of hiring Youths from Bayelsa and Rivers State to claim that the people of Akwa-Ibom State are with the APC.
He also stated that the recent Thanksgiving service organised by the APC after the Judgement of the Akwa-Ibom State Governorship election petition tribunal and the Court of Appeal respectively showed that the APC cannot boast of Women in their party.
