The Independent National Electoral Commision(INEC) today issued the Certificate of Return to the Appeal Court Declared winner of Portharcourt Constituency 1 of the Rivers State House of Assembly Hon Victoria Wobo Nyeche as the duly elected Lawmaker for PHALGA Constituency 1.

The Independent National Electoral Commission had declared Hon Jones Ogbondah of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) as the winner of the April 11th State Assembly election for PHALGA Constituency 1 while according to INEC,Victoria Wobo Nyeche of the All Progressive Congress(APC) came second.
Not satisfied with the resulted declared by Inec,Hon victoria Filed a petition at the Rivers State Governorship and State Assembly election petition Tribunal asking the court to declare her winner of the election that took place on 11th of April in PHALGA Constiteuncy 1.

But unfortunatly,the Judgement of the Tribunal went in favour of the PDP lawmaker,prompting Hon Nyeche to proceed to the Court of Appeal where she was declared the winner of the Election.
Issuing her with the certificate of Return at the INEC Headquaters in Aba Road Portharcourt,the New INEC Boss Mr Aniedi Abasi Ikoiwak stated that INEC as a body that respect the rule of Law have to comply with the order of the Appeal court
