Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress in the April 11th 2015 Governorship election in Rivers State Dr Dakuku Adol Peterside has been appointed by President Mohammadu as the Director General of Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency(NIMASA)
Peterside appointment has not been released to the Media but sources close to him comfirmed his appointments as his Core Loyalists and Close Friends are Already on Facebook pouring congratulatory Messages .

It will be recalled that President Mohammadu Buhari on December 2015 relieved Mr Patrick Ziakede Akpobolekemi of his appointment over Finacial Gross Misconduct.
Peterside contested the April 11th Governorship election in Rivers State but lost to Governor Nyesom Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP)

In May 2015 he filled his petition at the Rivers State Governorship election petition Tribunal praying the court to cancell the Governorship election in Rivers State on grounds of Violence and Non complaince with INEC Directives.
However after securing victory at the Tribunal and Court of Appeal respectivelyDakuku Peterside lost to governor Nyesom Wike at the Supreme Court on the 27th of January 2016
His appointment is seen as a reward for his struggle for the All Progressive Congress
