Palpable fears has gripped the Rivers State government over an alleged move by President Mohammadu Buhari to announce a state of emergency in Rivers State following the continuous insecurity in the State.
It was gathered that President Mohammadu Buhari had met with some Senators and House of Representatives members elected on the platform of the All Progressive Congress in Asorock last Night to seek advice over the security situation in Rivers State.
The outcome of the meeting is yet to be ascertained by PUO REPORTS
INEC had conducted a National and State Assembly Rerun election in Rivers State in compliance with the verdicts of the ABUJA Division of the Court of Appeal which had last year nullified the April 11 and March 28th 2015 National and state Assembly elections in Rivers State.
In the build up to the rerun,the body Language of the Rivers State governor Barr Nyesom Wike and the Minister of Transportation Rt Hon Chibuike Amaechi appears to be encouraging violence.
