Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has commiserated with the family of Eze Isa Onukem over the death of his wife, Late Deaconess Joy Adi Enyinda Onukem.
Speaking during a condolence Visit to the Family on Wednesday in Port Harcourt, Governor Wike describe the death of the deceased as painful since she died at a relatively young age.
Represented by His Chief of Staff, Engr Emeka Woke, Governor Wike said the deceased fulfilled her mission on earth through her Godly lifestyle and commitment to the welfare of others.
The governor said that life is a journey, urging everyone to use the privilege of living to make a difference.
He said: “Though she died relatively young, I am convinced that she lived a life worthy of emulation by others. It is not how long we live, but the contributions made. She accomplished her mission on earth.”
In his response, the Widower , Eze Isa Enyinda Onukem thanked the governor for his show of love at the trying time for the family
He said the governor’s gesture has strengthened his family at the moment of grief.
