PUO REPORTS has taken time to go through the Constitution and Bye-Laws of the General Council of Assemblies of God Nigeria.

Below are the CAUSES FOR DISCIPLINE

Located on Page 73 Article XII
OF THE CONSTITUTION AND BYE-LAW of Assemblies of God

1. Failure to comply with the General Council Constitution and bye-Laws, District or Area Bye-Laws and the Tenets of faith.

2. Negligence of ministerial duties, or general inefficiency in the ministry.

3. Failing, neglecting or refusing to render periodic accounts and release church funds to the appropriate authority as required under the constitution and Bye-Laws.

4. Conspiracy to divide the organization, Church or Churches

5. Uniting with or forming any other organization having similar purpose as this organization.

6. Accepting credentials from any other organisation.

7. Immoral conduct such as adultery, fornication, appearance of evil or indiscretion involving morals and taking an intended spouse to bed before solemnisation of and Church blessing on the marriage in a wedding service.

8. Divorce.

9. Misappropriation/embezzlement of the fund of the organization.

10. A failure or inability to represent our Pentecostal testimony correctly.

11. A contentious or non-co operative spirit.
12. An assumption of dictatorial authority over an assembly.

13. REJECTING, REFUSING, NEGLECTING OR FAILURE To Comply With The DIRECTIVES OF The EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE.

14. A Declared  Open Change In DOCTRINAL VIEWS.

15. A habit of running into debt, which brings reproach upon the body of the Church.

16. A period of the tithe defaulting for a period in excess of three months.

17. RECORDS: Failure to keep, willful destruction of, and failure to turn over to the appropriate authorities, records of the organisation.

18. ETHICS: Any minister who interferes with the minister in charge of Churches whether it be by intruding into the area of their jurisdiction or by holding such correspondence with members of the said Church as to hinder the the influence of the minister in charge, or any act or conduct that is inconsistent with ministerial courtesy shall be guilty of violating ministerial ethics and shall therefore be subject to discipline.

19. POLITICKING AND CAMPAIGNING: Any minister or layman who involves himself or herself either openly or secretly or indirectly, individually or  cooperatively, in the practice of campaigning and canvassing for or against any candidate for an office shall be disqualified from holding office for the the period of two years, and shall be subject to other disciplinary actions as may be deemed necessary either by the District Officers or the Executive Committee
20. Lying.

21. Taking or using another person to take the Church or any official of the Church,acting in official capacity,to court,tribunal or any communal panel for any Reason.

22. Assemblies of God Ministers and Members shall not be involved with giving,selling or taking illegal injections from any unqualified chemist and druggist.Any Minister or member failing to comply shall be Disciplined.

23. Presenting False credentials or paper for an elective post;or aiding and abetting Same.

24.Using the Media,Social Media or any other means to denigrate,Disgrace or Insult the Church or any Official of the Church.

25. And any other Circumstance that will warrant Discipline based o Biblical Principles.

The case the Former General Superintendent instituted at the Court against the General Council of Assemblies of God Nigeria is simple to be decided.

We pray that God through the Supreme Court Judges should show Paul Emeka the results of violating a law he ought to Obey
