The Executive Commitee of Assemblies of God Nigeria has banned the old Voting Method System previously used during the election of Local Church Deacons.
The General Superintendent of the Church Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor who conveyed the resolution of the Executive Committee to that effect also revealed that henceforth all Deacons elections shall be done through SECRET BALLOT SYSTEM

Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor made this known Friday during the church National Deacons Summit at the Assemblies of God National Worship Centre Area 11 Garki Abuja
“We have banned the issue of raising up a hand in nomination,every DEACONS election, the officiating Minister will come with Ballot Papers and the nomination shall be by Secret Balloting” he Declared
Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor also stated that it is only the election into the office of the Church Treasurer that the current board will nominate three persons because of such a person must be trust worthy

The National Deacons Summit saw in attendance the Assistant General Superintendent Rev Pst Ejikeme Ejim,the General Secretary Rev Dr Godwin Amaowoh,the General Treasurer Rev Dr Vincent Alaje,Rev Bawa Gadima,Rev Chukwudi Ogbuji,Rev Jacob Langs,Rev Iyke Okoro and other anointed men of God
