The issue here is not between Dr. Chidi Okoroafor and Paul Emeka. The truth about the Assemblies of God crises is actually between Paul Emeka and the Assemblies of God Nigeria.
Paul Emeka has severally tried to mislead the world by making this AG crises issue look as something between him and Dr. Chidi Okoroafor. Dr. Chidi Okoroafor was only his assistant and naturally by our constitution, if any leader at any level is removed or is dead or is insane, his assistant will take over from there, where he refuses, the next in line will step in. Dr. Chidi Okoroafor committed no crime to have stepped in when Paul Emeka was removed constitutionally, so this repeated foul cry against Dr. Chidi Okoroafor is just the mischievous lifestyle of Paul Emeka.
The AG crises came as a result Paul Emeka violating several provisions of the Constitution of the Assemblies of God Nigeria. When Paul Emeka invited the World Assemblies of God Fellowship to mediate, they turned his invitation down because he had already taken the church to Court which is unacceptable by the World Assemblies of God Fellowship since it goes contrary to scriptural impetus..
It should be understood that the African Assemblies of God Alliance(AAGA), in which Paul Emeka was the Vice President had replaced him and reported same to WAGF. AAGA felt that it was unimaginable that a person in the status of their Vice President could so degrade himself to such an ungodly level of taking the church that made him to Court without exhausting all the channels of reconciliation in the Assemblies of God. On the issue of the World Assemblies of God Fellowship (WAGF), she had invited Paul Emeka severally to meet with them over the issue but pride will not allow him because to him the outcome of the meeting was very obvious because down deep in his conscience he knew he wall ill advised by his boys to take the church to court.
The WAGF did not and cannot impose any General Superintendent to any national church but she can recognize and cooperate with the leadership of any nation that is constituted legally/constitutionally and legitimately. In October 2014, over 7000 Assemblies of God Ordained Ministers and Deacons from all the Districts in the General Council of Nigeria came and elected Dr. Chidi Okoroafor as the General Superintendent of the Church. In the same General Council meeting, other officers that form the Executive Committee were equally elected, all these are documented in a DVD and the leaders of the WAGF were given a copy as our custom is, hence their decision to recognize Dr. Chidi Okoroafor as the legitimate General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God in Nigeria.
Dr. Chidi Okoroafor and the other General Council Officers never requested to meet with the WAGF leaders; it was the leaders of the WAGF who wrote informing them of their intention to meet with the four officers at our International Headquarters in Springfield Missouri, United States. On arrival in Springfield, they were shocked at the reception the WAGF leaders gave to them; it was in the meeting that they were given the letter of recognition.
The actions and behaviours of Paul Emeka are contrary to the Assemblies of God believes, in fact they are contrary the Christian ethics and practices. Even if Paul Emeka was wrongly treated in any way, the proper Christian attitude is to leave vengeance to the Lord God. Talking of desperation for leadership, it is Paul Emeka who has shown the world his avaricious and desperation for leadership and not Dr. Chidi Okoroafor. Paul Emeka has exhibited an ungodly and unholy attitude in all that he has done from the first day of these crises that was what led to his excommunication in the last General Council meeting in October 2014.

Maybe the world also need to know these, the AG leaders from Ghana flew into Nigeria to meet with Paul Emeka with the mind of looking into the issue, but Paul Emeka never considered the time and money spent by these brethren to come down to Nigeria. Paul Emeka told them that there is nothing to be reconciled, that all he needs is to be returned to his position as the General Superintendent. Some of the CAN leaders and fathers counseled him to put up a Christ like behaviors and forget the fight, but he turned down their godly counsel, and insisted that he must reclaim his mandate. Some of them said ever since they gave him the counsel, he doesn’t call nor take their calls any longer. Who is the desperate guy her Dr. Chidi or Paul Emeka?
