The Youth Ministries of Assemblies Of God Nigeria will on the 12th of June 2016 celebrate its Annual Youth Department Day in all Assemblies Of God Churches Nation Wide
This Years Annual Youth Department Day is unique because according by Statement made available to PUO REPORTS by REV. Edoror I. Ehis the National Youth Secretary of Assemblies Of God Nigeria,the Department will also be celebrating its 25Years of Creation
The Executive Committee of Assemblies of God Nigeria in a bid to restructure the then Christ Ambassadors so as to give it a new lease of life as well as a new direction. Named it the Youth Ministers in 1991
The Youth Ministries provides an atmosphere of healthy interaction amongst the young people where they can naturally and intelligently express themselves, thus enhancing their spiritual, social, and academic growth. The ministry also equips them spiritually to face contemporary challenges and expose them to various vocational opportunities open to them within the society. The Ministries functions at all 4 (four) levels of administration of the church, viz: General Council, District/Area, Sections, and Local Church.
At inception, retired Rev J. O. Odii was appointed as its pioneer director. Other former directors of the ministries include: Late Rev M. R. O. Uwazurike, Rev G. A. Amaowoh (current general secretary, Assemblies of God, Nigeria), and Rev Eke Onwuka.
Rev Evang. Elisha Anyawu is the present National Youth Director, Assemblies of God Nigeria. He is the chief visionary for the entire youths of this great movement. He is a sought after international charismatic evangelist, a prayer warrior and a power preacher. He is the preacher of the popular message “the unchangeable God”. He assumed office at a time the Ministries was in travail. His coming has injected purpose and direction to the Youth Ministries. He has transformed the Ministries within this short time from the armies of Saul, to the armies of David.
The Youth ministries is supervised by the National Youth Board under the chairmanship of Rev Dr. Amah John Kay. He is an international speaker who has taken the gospel to all continents of the world. He has earlier served as the National Youth Secretary for 13 (thirteen) years.
In an Exclusive Chat with PUO REPORTS,The National Youth Director of Assemblies of God Nigeria Rev Elisha Anyanwu stated that the Youth Department shall be cutting an anniversary Cake to mark the Silver Jubilee
” In celebrating her silver jubilee, the theme of the National Youth week is, RESTORATION ON EVERY SIDE. Indeed, God has restored us from the abyss of destruction.
“The youths shall be cutting the silver jubilee anniversary cake in our various churches on our day. This will be rounded off with a youth SUPER SUNDAY at 4pm on Youth Day in our various District headquarters with display of talents and cutting of the anniversary cake”. He Said
