1116 Deacons of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Churches in Rivers,Bayelsa,Akwa Ibom and Delta States has declared Absolute,unalloyed Loyalty to the General Council of Assemblies Of God Nigeria led by Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor
The Deacons who made the resolution at the end of the Two Day National Assemblies Of God Nigeria Deacons Summit which held at the Pentecostal Theological Seminary Akpajo,maintained that Assemblies Of God is not a one man Church and hence,the Deacons cannot fold their hands and allow one man destroy it
Their Resolution to continually obey the directives of the General Council of Assemblies Of God Nigeria led by Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor was contained in a Communique issued at the end of the Two Day Deacons Summit
“That the Church is not an Individuals Property,God Owns the Church”
“The Deacons were Unanimous in their Vowel of their unalloyed allegiance and commitment to their denomination and the Leadership of the General Council under the able Leadership of the General Superintendent Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor,at all times our decisions and actions must be guided by Bible and the Church Constitution”
“Finally,for the purpose of emphasis,we reitrate our loyalty and commitment to the Leadership of Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor and the Executive Committee of Assemblies Of God Nigeria”The Deacons Stated
Deacon Emo Inyangetuk,Pst Ifreke Otu,Deacon Chibudom Blessing,Deacon Kaber Loomene and Deacon Chika Igbokwe were members of the Commitee who drafted the Communique which was Seconded and adopted by other Deacons
