A teenager, Chukwunonso Uwalaka was yesterday stabbed to death in Onitsha, Anambra State over N200.
Daily Sun gathered that the victim was killed by his friend, 16-year-old Emeka Ogbuzulu who allegedly owed him N200.
Investigation revealed that the quarrel between them started at about 9.30pm during which the deceased was stabbed to death.
A witness revealed that after they fought in the street, Emeka refused to refund the N200 and both parted ways.
He said that after some time, Emeka returned, held the deceased’s neck and stabbed him.
He noted that immediately he stabbed the deceased, Emeka took to his heels and other boys around the place took the deceased to two chemist shops where they declined to treat him.
Daily Sun gathered that the boy died at Borromeo hospital and his body deposited in the mortuary.
However, immediately the news of the death of the deceased filtered the air in his street, aggrieved boys mobilised in protest.
It took the efforts of police from the Central Police Station (CPS) Onitsha and Vigilances group in the area to calm the tension.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) in- charge, Mr. Mark Ijarafu a Chief Superintendent of Police who confirmed the incident, said the suspect has been arrested and would be charged to court for murder.
