Results of this year’s May/June West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) taken by over 1.5 million candidates nationwide would be released today.
The Head of National Office (HNO) of WAEC, Mr. Olutise I. Adenipekun, according to the acting Head Public Affairs, Mr. D. G. Ojijeogu, would announce the release of May/June 2016 WASSCE at a media briefing at the council’s head office in Yaba, Lagos.
The release of the results for school candidates’ examination would be the first by the HNO even though he announced the results for the Nov/Dec 2015, but did not conduct the private candidates’ exam.
The release of the May/June 2016 WASSCE would brighten the chances of candidates in using the results for the on-going university admission exercise.
Some state governments stopped the payment of the May/June WASSCE fees for their candidates because of the dwindling resources.
