Giwa FC is a national football club located in Jos, Plateau State. The team play top division in Nigeria football and Nigeria premier league.
The federal court sitting in Jos South ordered the professional football league to reinstate Giwa FC.
The football club was suspended and later expelled from Nigeria league in May, 2016 for missing three straight fixtures after exile from Jos for crowd trouble.
In a letter signed today 17th August, 2016, Shehu Dikko, chairman league management company Ltd, said, court ordered the League Management Company to reinstate the team back to the league and all players back to the club.
Giwa FC has been restored to the NPFL table while further processes are been activated to reschedule the matches concerning the club in accordance with the NPFL framework and rules, 2015/2016 season.
However, the LMC has taken immediate steps to affect compliance with the court order.
