General Superintendent of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor has Dissolved the Ikot Ekpene District Presbytery of Assemblies Of God Nigeria.
PUO REPORTS also gathered that Evangelist Nsikak Akpan,the man who went to the Press to announce that South South has pulled out of the Assemblies Of God Nigeria on the 7th of February 2016 has been Suspended.
The Former District Superintendent Rev Chrysantus F Sampson was asked to hand over the affairs of the District to the Newly Appointed Caretaker Commitee headed by Rev Godwin Dimkpa.
The Committee has Rev Gabriel Ojong as Treasurer,Rev Dr Emmanuel Essien as Secretary and Rev Dr Stone O Stone and Rev Joshua Okay as Members.
It will be recalled that the Tenure of the Dissolved Presbytery headed by Rev Chrysantus Sampson had expired in May 2016 but a Court Order procured by some Pastors stopped the Leadership of Assemblies Of God Nigeria from conducting a Fresh Council Election.
It was gathered that the withdrawal of the Court Cases by the same people who filed them paved way for a new decision that was taken for the good of the Ikot Ekpene District
