The Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in Rivers State is heading into serious Internal Crises following the Disagreement between the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike and some Leaders of the PDP in the Various Local Government Areas over the Choice of Caretaker Committee Chairmen.
The Developments,PUO REPORTS Gathered saw the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike refusing to Swear In Mr Agri Ezekiel,a nominee for the Position of Caretaker Commitee Chairman for Ahoada West Local Government Area who was Screened alongside other 19 Nominees by the Rivers State House Of Assembly last week.
Investigation by PUO REPORTS Revealed that in Emohua Local Government Area For Example,Hon John Wokoma who was Inaugurated Yesterday wouldn’t have made it if not the Intervention of Governor Nyesom Wike and the Member Representing Emohua State Constituency in the Rivers State House Of Assembly Hon. Sam Ogeh.
It was gathered that while some Forces in the Peoples Democratic Party wanted Hon John Wokoma to be reappointed the Second Time as the Chairman of Emohua Local Government Council,another group opted for Chief Godspower Nwoka
The Name of Chief Godspower Nwoka Incidentally made it into the List submitted to the Rivers State House Of Assembly for Screening,but barely 24hours for the Screening to take place,his name was withdrawn and replaced with the Immediate Past CTC boss of the Council who was Yesterday Inaugurated for a Second Time by Governor Nyesom Wike.
In Obioakpor Local Government Area,the Choice of Hon Collins Onunwo by Governor Nyesom Wike for a Second term in Office,did not go down well with some Forces within the Party in the Local Government Area as a different name was penciled down,until the Body language of the Governor cleared the Air on the Choice of Hon Collins for the Position.
The Rivers State House Of Assembly Screened 20 Names and Forwarded same to the Governor For Appointment,but Governor Nyesom Wike refused Inaugurating the nominee for Ahoada West Local Government Area Mr Agri Ezekiel
No Choice has been concluded for the position of Caretaker Commitee Chairman for Asari Toru and Degema Local Government Areas
The Nominee for the Position of Caretaker Chairman for Opobo-Nkoro Local Government Area was not Screened by the Rivers State House of Assembly
A Top official of the party who was Contacted by PUO REPORTS to speak on the development stated that he cannot make any comment,because he dont want Oga to turn the anger on Him.
A lot of Party Leaders are not happy with the Governor over the Developements
