The Niger Delta Intelligence and Transparency Group, NDITG, yesterday claimed its investigation had revealed that four governors of an opposition party were sponsoring the conspiracy being orchestrated by Justice John Okoro and Justice Nwali Sylvester Ngwuta of the Supreme Court to blackmail the Transportation Minister, Mr. Chibuike Amaechi.
In a statement by its National Secretary, Micheal Awhawha, the group said the opposition governors, envious of Amaechi, were allegedly behind the separate frivolous letters written by Justice Okoro and Justice Ngwuta to Chief Justice of Nigeria and Chairman of the National Judicial Council, NJC, aimed at tarnishing Amaechi’s image.
According to the group; “Our findings revealed that it was the agenda of the opposition governors to use the embattled Justice Okoro and Justice Ngwuta to smear the image of Amaechi.”
