General Superintendent Of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor yesterday told the Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu that before the expiration of his tenure as the Governor Of Abia State,he will be the Shadow that made history in the Governance of the State.
The Number one man in Assemblies Of God Nigeria declared this when he led a high powered delegation of the Leadership of Assemblies Of God Nigeria to a Courtesy visit to Government House Umuahia Abia State.
Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor said they were in Government for a familiarization tour and to appreciate the State Government for returning the Missions Schools of the Church especially the Evangel High School Old Umuahia
“Our first theological school Assemblies of God Divinity School of Nigeria (AGDSN) and has existed since 1940 is also located in Old Umuahia, Abia State. We are also grateful to the State for the return of some missions’ schools to the original owners especially the Evangel High School, Old Umuahia”
“Assemblies of God as a Church cannot be partisan but we understand and practice what the Bible says in Romans 13:1-6”
“Consequently, since God who lifts a leader has appointed you, we are here today to pray with and for you and the State of Abia and to encourage you. Our wish is that before you leave this office, you shall be the shadow that made history. With God the mountain of challenges that are common to democratic governance shall be surmounted. The expectations of Abians both home and in diaspora are high”

The General Superintendent also brifed the Governor Of Abia State on the plans of the Leadership of the Church to build a Pilgrimage Center in the State
“In the same vein, Your Excellency, the National Executive Committee has recently approved a national Pentecostal Fountain to be built at the birthplace of Assemblies of God, Nigeria, OldUmuahia. This, when completed, will be averitable pilgrimage centre.
Your Excellency, you know the implication when Pentecostals in Nigeria, Africa and the whole world make Abia a pilgrimage centre.

“The Delegation which was led by the General Superintendent of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor included the Assistant General Superintendent Rev Pst Ejikeme Ejim,Aba North District Superintendent Rev P.K Emeaba and Owerri East District Superintendent Rev Dr Abel Amadi both who are members of the Executive Commitee Representing South East Zone 1 and 2 at the General Council Level.
