Husband of the Isiala Ngwa LG worker burnt to death by arsonists on the 9th of November has fingered supporters of one of the contestants for PDP ticket, Uzoma Ihuka, as being responsible for the killing of his wife Amarachi Orioha.
According to him, Hon C O Enweremadu led the group that came to Nsulu and threatened that if another contestant, Mr Ginger Onwusibe, wins the primaries they will burn down the local government.
In a letter copied to security agents, Senate and others, Mr Oriaku narrated how he got the information that his wife who work at the LGA office was burnt beyond recognition and later died in the hospital. He also confirmed that the arsonists had previously warned that they will burn the office and ensure that “blood will flow” if they fail to have their preferred candidate, Uzoma Ihuka, as PDP candidate.

Meanwhile the Governor of Abia State, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu, has instructed the commissioner of police in the state to immediately unravel those behind the arson and bring them to justice. The Governor who spoke after being briefed by the police chief vowed that political violence will not be allowed to thrive in the state under any guise.
Mr Ginger Onwusibe who was declared winner of the primaries in Isiala Ngwa North LGA has visited the family of the deceased as well as condemned the “unnecessary blood letting in the name of politics”. He promised that if elected he will use his office to unify the LGA and deliver dividends of democracy to the people of the area.
